For caramelized plums

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 8 plums halved, pitted
  • For a dutch baby
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • Additionally
  • butter to grease the pan
  • icing sugar
  • roasted almond flakes

For caramelized plums

  • In a frying pan, heat the sugar, when it becomes liquid, add the butter and stir vigorously. Add plums to get caramel and mix thoroughly. Fry the plums for about 5 minutes, just to soften them. Set aside to cool down

For a dutch baby

  • Place all the ingredients for the pancake in the bowl of the blender and blend until smooth. Pour the prepared dough into a cast iron pan greased with butter. Place the plums on top of the cake. Put in an oven preheated to 180 C for about 25 minutes.
  • Serve the pancake sprinkled with powdered sugar and almond flakes
